Your driver turns off the country road then pauses as two wrought iron gates slowly open.  You enter the property that will be your Provencal home away from home for eight peaceful nights and revitalizing days.

As you step out on to the crushed stone drive and begin to walk in the direction of the limestone “farmhouse”.  You can feel and hear the stones shifting beneath your feet – it is SO quiet here! A gentle breeze and the sun on your skin bring awareness to the fact that you have arrived – it is spring in Provence. You breathe in the fresh country air, pause, then exhale deeply releasing any “baggage” you’ve been carrying.

You notice purple bougainvillea in full bloom happily hugging the farmhouse wall which is bathed in golden light.  The sky is a vibrant cerulean blue.  No wonder famous artists like Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Cezanne were captivated by the south of France.

You walk toward the pool house for a cool beverage… perhaps a glass of local rose’ or a refreshing Orangina?

The swimming pool calls to you; so, you slip off your shoes and step onto the shelf ankle deep in the cool clear water.  You lift your gaze to take it all in…  the play of light on the leaves of the olive trees and the majestic cypress trees reaching toward the sky. A playful yellow butterfly flirting with lavender brings a smile to your face… you know in your heart that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

Wouldn’t it feel fulfilling to slow down, be more present, and to truly enjoy what you are doing when you are doing it?
While in Provence, through immersing yourself in the culture, cuisine, and the essence of joie-de-vivre, you will learn to really tune into your senses so you can mindfully choose to see the beauty in everyday moments.

A WONDERFUL TRIP

“Thank you for such a wonderful trip to Provence. The yoga retreat property was perfect! From the amazing food prepared by our chefs, refreshing pool, and a very comfy room. There were many more things to enjoy like the view of olive trees as we did our practice and of course Petanque competitions. They are a celebration of vibrant colors, enticing aromas, and the exquisite flavors of fresh Provencal herbs and produce. Picture long, leisurely meals enjoyed outdoors, surrounded by good friends and lively conversation that nourishes your body and soul.

Each morning a French continental breakfast prepared with love will greet you. You’ll sip fresh-pressed orange juice, savor ripe seasonal fruits, enjoy homemade granola with creamy yogurt, and a variety of fresh baked breads and croissants. Local treasures like farm fresh eggs, sweet fig and apricot jams made from fruit grown on the retreat property, and tangy goat cheese from a neighboring farm ensure that each day starts abundance.

Evenings begin with an aperitif to awaken your appetite. Our private chef, Enzo del Testa, who has an intuitive and creative approach to cuisine, will delight our taste buds with starters like chilled two asparagus cream soup with strawberry mascarpone cream or warm goat cheese fritter salad with walnut pesto and arugula. Meat lovers will enjoy mouth watering dishes like boneless chicken thigh roasted with thyme or duck confit shepherds pie with apples and candied onions. Seafood lovers will be delighted by traditional rockfish soup or tagliatelle with salmon, lemon and dill sabayon sauce. If you don’t eat this or that, then no worries — Chef Enzo is delighted to accommodate your needs with care.

Good thing we’ll be walking and practicing yoga every day because the desserts are impossible to resist. Imagine a delightful “tarte aux fraises” (strawberry tart) or crème brûlée baked to perfection.

Postures, Passion, Provence is a harmony of “doing” and “being” – a balance of exploration and ease. Our days will flow between yoga, sightseeing, relaxation, dining and more. Through both the movement and the stillness, the guided and the spontaneous, you will discover that peace isn’t found only in silence and stillness, but in the fullness of each moment.

Standing before the Pont du Gard, you can’t help but be amazed by its sheer scale and grace — a masterpiece of Roman engineering. You sense the brilliance and balance that defined an ancient civilization attuned to the natural world.

You walk across the first level, just as travelers did nearly two thousand years ago. In awe of Roman ingenuity and craftsmanship, you reach out to touch the intricate stonework.  Every curve, every stone, every detail whispers tales of a civilization that has long since passed.

Later, wading in the Gardon River, you feel a quiet connection — not only to history, but to the enduring human capacity to create with intention and harmony. It’s a humbling reminder that true perspective comes from seeing ourselves as part of something much greater and timeless.

As we travel through the rolling hills of the Luberon, the countryside unfolds in waves of green and gold, scattered with stone farmhouses and poppy fields. Nestled in a quiet valley, the iconic Abbaye de Sénanque, a 12th-century Cistercian monastery, welcomes us into its world of simple yet majestic beauty.

Passing slowly through its ancient cloisters, you’ll feel the grace of a place shaped by devotion and serenity. The abbey’s timeless beauty reminds us that peace often comes from slowing down and seeing with fresh eyes.

A haven for artists, writers, and dreamers for centuries, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, exudes history, culture, and artistry.  Its captivating beauty is sure to leave you spellbound.

A local guide will orient us, then you’ll have time to wander the town’s charming cobblestone streets and quaint squares.

You’ll discover a plethora of artisan shops, each one brimming with handcrafted treasures.  From intricate jewelry to fragrant soaps; and, from specialties like truffles to world-class wines, every shop is a treasure trove of Provence’s finest. Take your time to browse and indulge, as the locals are happy to share their knowledge and passion for the region’s artisanal traditions.

Throughout our eight day journey, you’ll have opportunities to rest and reflect.

Settle into a comfortable chair and lose yourself in a good book, let the Provençal sun warm your body as you relax by the pool, take a peaceful walk along the canal, or simply close your eyes and let the hum of cicadas lull you into a reset. These moments are as essential to your wellbeing as your yoga practice – moments to soften, breathe, and unwind.

If you feel called to deepen your rest, then you may choose to receive a therapeutic massage, stretch out in a hammock beneath the olive trees, or nap in the quiet comfort of your room.

This time to listen inward, to notice the beauty around you and within you, and to remember what balance truly feels like, will become the heart of your journey.

Relaxation and rejuvenation go hand in hand with fun and connection; and, nowhere is that more true than during Pétanque & Pastis with JD. Pétanque, the classic French game of boules, is less about competition and more about camaraderie, sunshine, and a touch of friendly mischief.

JD will share the rules, his tips and witty commentary. You’ll toss silver balls across the sandy court, cheer each other on, and maybe even develop your own signature throw.

Of course, no pétanque match would be complete without a glass of pastis, the anise-flavored aperitif beloved in the South of France. With its cool, refreshing taste and unmistakable aroma, it sets the perfect tone for a lazy afternoon.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture and lifestyle at the weekly market in Saint Remy-de-Provence.  Browsing the colorful stalls is a feast for the senses for sure!

In addition to the region’s gorgeous produce, you’ll encounter table clothes and napkins in Provencal patterns, fragrant soaps made from natural ingredients (in a multitude of shapes, colors and sizes), hand crafted pottery, summery clothing, jewelry and more.  You’re sure to find the perfect souvenir or gift to take home.

Shopping isn’t REALLY your thing?  No problem!

Wouldn’t it be fascinating to visit the Saint-Paul Asylum and grounds, where Vincent van Gogh was a self-admitted patient from May 1889 to May 1890?  Over the course of that year, he painted about 150 canvases including The Irises, Olive Trees, Hospital at Saint Remy, and The Starry Night.

In addition to learning about yourself through practicing yoga daily, you will see mind-blowing sights and hear fascinating nuggets from local guides that will awaken your imagination and fuel your desire to keep learning.

One unique opportunity you will have, is to hear directly from Charline all about her experience caring for their olive trees and producing their small batch organic olive oil.  You will learn about the importance of timing, technique and perseverance in the harvesting process. She will also share a sample of their truly exceptional organic olive oil. (Spoiler Alert: You will never feel the same about your two liter jug of Costco olive oil!)

If you want to dive deeper, then during your free time, journey down the road to sample the oil of several different varieties of olives – each with a really distinct flavor!  Imagine, “Peppery Aglandau with fruity notes dominated by raw artichoke” or “Verdale with an intense aroma of fruit, freshly mown grass, and green apple” or Grossane “offering up rich aromas of butter, sweet almond, and tomato”.

The shop at Moulin du Calanquet also has a dazzling array of specialty products like “Moutarde Truffle Blanche Or” (mustard with white truffle and gold) and “Moutarde Citron Grains De Pivot Blue” (mustard with lemon and blue poppy).  Your tastebuds will thank you!

Les Baux-de-Provence is a medieval village perched high atop a rocky outcrop, with stunning views, ancient ruins, and a fascinating history. Our guide will take us back in time to the Middle Ages, when Les Baux was a fortified stronghold for the local lords. The ruined Château-de-Baux, with its remnants of turrets, ramparts, and historic halls, is a testament to the ingenuity and determination of the people who once called it home.  You’ll see reproductions of their weaponry and learn about the role both women and men played to protect the castle.

After exploring the château, you will have time to wander the cobbled streets of Les Baux-de-Provence, you’ll discover artisan shops, local galleries, and inviting cafés tucked between stone walls and terraces. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in the village, savoring Provençal flavors and sweeping views of olive groves and vineyards below.

In the afternoon, we’ll gather for an unforgettable visit to the Carrières de Lumières, the former limestone quarries of Les Baux, now transformed into a stunning immersive art and light show. As images of masterworks dance across the towering stone walls, accompanied by evocative music, you’ll feel the creative spirit of Provence come alive in a way that stirs both heart and imagination.

On our final morning, over a leisurely breakfast, we’ll gather one last time to reflect on the moments that moved us, the laughter that lifted us, and the friendships that blossomed along the way. We will say, “au revoir”, to Mas Millesime and Saint Remy-de-Provence, with our hearts full and spirits renewed.

You will leave with more than memories, you will carry with you a renewed commitment to your yoga practice; as well as, a deeper sense of connection and joy.

Our checkout time is 10:30am on Saturday, May 30th.
Group transport, at designated times, will be arranged to the Marseille Provence Airport or Marseille Saint-Charles train station.

If you feel inspired to linger in the south of France, then you have many options to consider – Arles, Aix-en-Provence, Nice – each destination offering its unique flavor of beauty and culture.

For a soft slow rhythm, the seaside village of Cassis awaits.  Here, you can swim in turquoise waters, hike the Calanques (dramatic limestone cliffs), stroll the cobbled streets lined with fishermen’s cottages, or simply sip rosé while watching the sunset melt into the Sea.

For a mix of old-world charm and vibrant coastal energy, immerse yourself in Marseille’s Vieux Port (old port), where fishing boats, sailboats, sleek yachts and cafés line the harbor. Just beyond the port, the striking MuCEM, a modern museum of Mediterranean culture, rises from the water in a lacework of stone and glass. And, high above it all, the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde watches protectively over Marseille. A visit to this hilltop cathedral rewards you with breathtaking views.
